    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

We Techs have a love / hate relationship with malware. We hate the damage that malware can do and how much of a pain in the ass it can be to remove (of course most of us enjoy the challenge). We "love" malware because it's our bread and butter and job security.

We all have probably encountered a virus that was difficult to remove. None of the virus removal steps seemed to work, the anti-virus program on that PC was disarmed, the virus prevented the installation of another anti-virus program, .exe files couldn't be opened, etc... Not fun!

Malwarebytes is your best friend! It can detect and remove malware that other anti-viruses/anti-malware programs can't. For those difficult viruses and malware: Copy Malwarebytes to a flash drive, go into safe mode, install Malwarebytes, and run Malwarebytes.

    What is Malwarebytes?

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is considered to be the next step in the detection and removal of malware. In our product we have compiled a number of new technologies that are designed to quickly detect, destroy, and prevent malware. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware can detect and remove malware that even the most well known anti-virus and anti-malware applications fail to detect. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware monitors every process and stops malicious processes before they even start. The realtime protection module uses our advanced heuristic scanning technology which monitors your system to keep it safe and secure. In addition, we have implemented a threats center which will allow you to keep up to date with the latest malware threats.

    Key Features:

    - Support for Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7 (32-bit and 64-bit).
    - Light speed quick scanning.
    - Ability to perform full scans for all drives.
    - Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware protection module. (requires registration)
    - Database updates released daily.
    - Quarantine to hold threats and restore them at your convenience.
    - Ignore list for both the scanner and Protection Module.
    - Settings to enhance your Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware performance.
    - A small list of extra utilities to help remove malware manually.
    - Multi-lingual support.
    - Works together with other anti-malware utilities.
    - Command line support for quick scanning.
    - Context menu integration to scan files on demand.

Malwarebytes is a lifesaver, if it's not in your tool collection already, add it! It's my favorite anti-malware tool, I go nowhere without it.

I love Malwarebytes and feel the makers deserve to be popular and rich, but on the other hand, if everyone finds out about it my business would drop BIG TIME!

LOL, I agree! From what I read on their forum, they are a very tiny operation.

In all my years of removing viruses, Malwarebytes is the BEST malware solutions.
Since its so friendly with other anti-virus programs, I use it as my backup anti-virus (or if ever something "goes bad").

    Hehe... customers keep out!

    PS: I hate Norton!

    Thumbs down

I once wasted SO MUCH time on a clients PC thanks to Norton. I uninstalled it and later noticed that I couldn't go online. Hours later and after downloading and running Norton Removal Tool, the internet worked! What sort of "anti-virus" program needs a special removal tool...?!

I caught McAfee sleeping on the job many times. Comcast (a major cable provider here in the Pacific Northwest) dumped them for Norton... "Great," from bad to worse...

PS: This reminds me of a youtube video...
